Though Lan Jun was quite powerful among the Saint Venerables, he was not among the very strongest.
According to the Outer Domain Battlefield's classification,
Saint Venerables were divided into different ranks based on their strength.
The most ordinary rank was the Saint Venerable level, ranging from the early stage to the peak of the late stage.
Some peak Saint Venerables, however, could push their power to its limit, giving them combat strength a cut above ordinary peak Saint Venerables. These were known as Great Sages, or Limit Saint Venerables.
Among the Great Sages, some could break through their own limits and advance further, reaching the very pinnacle of the Saint Venerable realm. These were known as Ancient Sages—the Saint Venerables of the distant past—or by another name, Peak Saint Venerables.
Lan Jun had only barely reached the level of a Great Sage.
Against ordinary Evil Emperors, he could fight several at once. Of course, there were differences in strength among the Evil Emperors too. The Demon Hair Evil Emperor from earlier, for example, was one of the stronger ones. Against an Evil Emperor of that caliber, Lan Jun could manage two at most. Any more, and he wouldn't be able to hold them off.
