Bi Fan couldn't help giving a wry laugh. "You didn't actually dig up someone's tomb, did you?"
Ling Xiaoxiao gave a soft snort. "That was exactly the tomb I was looking for. After all the effort I went to find it, wouldn't it be a waste not to dig it up?"
"Fine." He nodded helplessly. "And then?"
Ling Xiaoxiao said, "There really was a skeleton inside! But I'm not sure if it actually belonged to the Sect Master of Tianyan Sect."
He froze for a moment. "If it was the Sect Master's tomb, who else would they put in there?"
"You can't be sure. Maybe it was meant to throw people off?" Ling Xiaoxiao yawned. "Anyway, there was a drop of blood essence left in the skeleton. I figured it must have belonged to an Emperor Realm expert, maybe even someone at the peak. So I took it, and then I came out."
"So you're about to break through to the Sovereign Realm?" Bi Fan asked with a smile.
She shook her head. "Not yet. There's a complicated seal on that drop of blood essence. I haven't had a chance to break it, and then I sensed that your aura was extremely unstable, so I hurried over."
"As for the aura that drove off the Devil Race, it was something that had already been sealed inside me. I just loosened the seal a little to intimidate those people."
Bi Fan scratched his head and gave a wry smile. "Sorry. I've held you up again."
She laughed without the slightest hint of apology and slapped him on the shoulder. "Good. At least you know! You owe me plenty of favors, so remember—you'll have to repay every one of them someday!"
Bi Fan smiled. "Of course!
