The Scorching Sun Burning Sea Hand
Ye Daocheng's face darkened. So you really are a tough one to deal with. But how long can you keep running? he thought.
He gave a cold laugh and stopped chasing. Closing his eyes, he let the red light flickering over his body pulse in time with the surging Blood Sea.
Seeing this, Bi Fan felt a chill of foreboding. In the next instant, the crimson glow began shrinking at a speed visible to the naked eye. Under the force of Ye Daocheng's domain, Bi Fan had little room left to flee.
Ye Daocheng's voice reached him at just the right moment. "Save your strength. Unless you can break my domain, you won't be able to keep running."
Bi Fan's expression was grave as he replied coolly, "So you don't intend to give me the chance to break through to the Spirit Lord Realm and face you on equal terms."
Ye Daocheng smiled faintly. He had seen through Bi Fan's intention. "Trying to buy time?"
Bi Fan raised his eyes, neither confirming nor denying it, and suddenly gave a faint smile. "Are you worried that once I break through, you won't be able to beat me?"
Ye Daocheng's smile never faltered. "You don't know me. Provocation doesn't work on me."
"Besides, whether you break through or not makes little difference. The ending won't change. I just want to see what surprises someone like you can unleash when faced with the threat of death."
Bi Fan's brows knit slightly. He tipped up his head and asked with a faint smile, "You're quite sure you can take my life today, then?"
Ye Daocheng smiled and nodded. "More or less."
"Plenty of people want me dead." Bi Fan grinned. "You might want to get in line first!"
