Bi Fan walked through the forest, extremely cautious.

After encountering two Magic Beasts in a row, both of them quite powerful, he could be fairly certain this wasn't the outskirts of the Demon Realm.

There was a good chance he was in the Demon Realm's second layer. According to what he'd heard, Magic Beasts in the second layer were mostly at or above the Valiance Realm, though Demon Beasts with strength equivalent to the Mortal Transformation Realm occasionally appeared.

Of course, he might also run into some especially powerful Magic Beasts, whose strength rivaled that of Demon Beasts.

If Bi Fan encountered one of those, he could only flee for his life—and he'd better run early, or escaping would be difficult.

There was no such thing as being too careful. Dragon Sable was no longer around to warn him, and Evil Fire Snake Lion was guarding him, so he had to be even more cautious than ever.

He hadn't gone far when the ground suddenly began to tremble. A moment later, a tremendous rumbling reached him, like ten thousand horses charging.

"A herd of Magic Beasts!" Bi Fan wasn't afraid. Instead, he grew excited.

He headed straight toward the sound, actually intending to meet the herd.

Bi Fan was certainly bold, but he had his own plan.

The sound grew closer, and the earth shook more violently.

Soon, Bi Fan saw a herd of monstrous Magic Beasts. There weren't many of them—only eighteen.

Each was considerably larger than Evil Fire Snake Lion. Some had two sharp horns about a meter long, while others had just one.

"Barbaric Demon Ox!" Bi Fan exclaimed in surprise.

The books said Barbaric Demon Oxes possessed boundless strength and were terrifying when they charged.

However, Barbaric Demon Oxes couldn't evolve into Demon Beasts. The most powerful among them were only as strong as Demon Beasts. Evil Fire Snake Lion, whom Bi Fan had subdued, was actually superior: it could gradually evolve, and becoming a powerful Demon Beast was well within its reach.

A herd of Barbaric Demon Oxes charging together was a magnificent, heart-shaking sight.

Boom! A Barbaric Demon Ox slammed into a tree thick enough to require a man to wrap his arms around it, snapping it in two.

Bi Fan could only click his tongue. If that force hit a person, it would send them flying.

Bi Fan waited until the Barbaric Demon Oxes had passed, then sprang onto the back of the last one.

Whoosh! The Barbaric Demon Ox realized someone was on its back and bellowed. Then it started bucking, trying to throw Bi Fan off.

Bi Fan gripped both of the Barbaric Demon Ox's horns tightly and clamped his legs around its body, swaying with its movements.

Even so, he nearly got thrown off several times.

The Barbaric Demon Ox was far too strong. Bi Fan had to focus all his attention on staying mounted, leaving him no chance to attack.

"Yah!" Bi Fan roared, unleashing his strength as he tried to force the Barbaric Demon Ox down.

The sudden pressure didn't make the Barbaric Demon Ox collapse, but it did slow it down.

The other seventeen Barbaric Demon Oxes noticed the commotion behind them. They all stopped and gathered around the one Bi Fan was riding.

All they could do was stare helplessly. They couldn't lend a hand.

Riding on the Barbaric Demon Ox's back, Bi Fan looked imposing, as if he stood above the world.

"Come on, you big fellows! All of you, come at me..."

It was an outright provocation. The Barbaric Demon Oxes' eyes reddened, and their breathing grew rougher.

The Barbaric Demon Oxes' greatest strength was their power, especially when they charged. They were unmatched in their ferocity.

Unfortunately for them, Bi Fan was sitting on one of their backs. The others had no way to get at him.

Bi Fan wrestled for control with the Barbaric Demon Ox. In the clash of strength, he actually gained the upper hand, gradually forcing it to wobble on its feet.

After defeating that Barbaric Demon Ox, Bi Fan lost interest in it. He picked out one at the Great Strength Realm, planted his foot on the ox beneath him, and leaped across.

He used the Barbaric Demon Oxes' backs to push off several times along the way, barely touching each with his toes before springing onward.

The herd instantly fell into chaos. They all tried to charge at Bi Fan, but he never touched the ground, and there was nothing they could do.

After several leaps, Bi Fan finally landed on the back of the Barbaric Demon Ox at the Great Strength Realm.

He clamped his legs around it and grabbed its horns with both hands.

"Roar!" The Barbaric Demon Ox was furious. It began thrashing and charging wildly, even crashing into trees in an attempt to throw Bi Fan off.

Bi Fan sat as steady as a mountain, letting the Barbaric Demon Ox rage.

Wrestling with the Barbaric Demon Ox was endlessly entertaining. Bi Fan loved this simple contest of strength.

Seated on the Barbaric Demon Ox's back, Bi Fan kept increasing the pressure.

Bi Fan's full strength, pressed down with all his might, was enough to deliver an astonishing blow. Yet the Barbaric Demon Ox seemed barely affected and continued its wild bucking.

"Now that's a fine beast. Imagine how fierce it'd be as a mount!" Bi Fan exclaimed.

He had just been thinking that there was no problem when the Barbaric Demon Ox beneath him went berserk.

Boom! Boom! The Barbaric Demon Ox smashed through several trees in a row and raced through the forest, breaking countless more along the way.

A raging Barbaric Demon Ox was truly ferocious.

Bi Fan held on for dear life. The jolting threw his body into the air, leaving only his hands firmly clamped around the Barbaric Demon Ox's horns.

The other seventeen Barbaric Demon Oxes chased after them at first, but gradually fell behind.

Bi Fan grew angry, too. He used the power of Carefree Immortal Finger to keep one hand locked onto the horns, freeing the other to pound the Barbaric Demon Ox.

The Barbaric Demon Ox felt the pain and grew even more violent. It charged recklessly through the Demon Realm, moving faster than ever.

Its mad sprint stirred up many Magic Beasts.

The weaker ones took one look at the Barbaric Demon Ox and scurried back into their Cave Mansions.

Even the more powerful Magic Beasts feared being trampled by it and had to make way. They wanted to give chase, but the raging Barbaric Demon Ox was simply too fast.

Bi Fan's expression changed, however. If the Barbaric Demon Ox accidentally charged into a Demon Beast's lair, it would be the end of them.

Then Bi Fan remembered the Teleportation Jade Token, and his mind eased. He decided to enjoy his ride with the Barbaric Demon Ox.

"Hyah! Hyah!" Bi Fan really started playing around, driving the Barbaric Demon Ox as if it were a mount.

The Barbaric Demon Ox's eyes were bloodshot. It panted heavily, thoroughly enraged.

"Awwooo!"

The Barbaric Demon Ox kept bucking as it galloped madly, deliberately crashing into trees. It had only one aim: to throw Bi Fan off.

Bi Fan was becoming more and more adept at handling it. He gradually got used to the jolting and violent swaying.

"Hey, big fellow, you're slowing down. Can't you go any faster?" Bi Fan teased.

The Barbaric Demon Ox's temper flared. It broke into a full sprint, charging straight through anything in its path.

No one knew how long it ran. Even the Barbaric Demon Ox, for all its endurance, was getting tired.

Suddenly, the Barbaric Demon Ox charged into an enormous pool with Bi Fan on its back, sending countless splashes into the air.

The pool was crystal clear and unfathomably deep; its bottom was nowhere in sight.

The Barbaric Demon Ox was surprisingly good at diving. It plunged deeper, trying to force Bi Fan to let go.

Though it seemed consumed by rage, the Barbaric Demon Ox hadn't lost its wits. It was quite clever.

Bi Fan hurriedly held his breath, still gripping the Barbaric Demon Ox's horns tightly.

The Barbaric Demon Ox began rolling around underwater, trying to shake Bi Fan loose.

Suddenly, an overwhelming aura erupted from the pool. The entire pool churned, and enormous columns of water blasted into the air.

Even the heavy Barbaric Demon Ox was tossed away.

Bi Fan felt as if he could barely breathe. The water hammered his body like iron hammers, leaving him in terrible pain.

"A Demon Beast!" Bi Fan was utterly shocked.

A Demon Beast had to be lurking at the bottom of the pool. Nothing else could have produced such terrifying power.

The Barbaric Demon Ox was terrified and swam desperately toward the surface.

The moment the Barbaric Demon Ox and Bi Fan broke through the water, the pool exploded.

Boom!

A column of water shot into the sky, and spray flew everywhere.

Then a strange creature with a huge head and a sharp horn emerged. Its body was enormous; even with only half of it above the water, it was already thirty meters long. Its entire body was covered in scales.

"A flood dragon!" Bi Fan cried out in horror.

Flood dragons possessed the bloodline of dragons and could even evolve into true dragons. They were extraordinarily powerful, reaching the Mortal Transformation Realm once they came of age.

The moment the Barbaric Demon Ox saw the flood dragon, its legs went weak. Its whole body trembled, and it even forgot to run.

"Roar!" The flood dragon bellowed, opening its enormous maw to reveal razor-sharp teeth before biting straight at the Barbaric Demon Ox.

Bi Fan didn't dare stay any longer. The pressure had already left him unable to move.

He activated the Teleportation Jade Token, and Bi Fan vanished in an instant.

Just before he disappeared, Bi Fan saw the flood dragon bite the Barbaric Demon Ox in half, killing it beyond any doubt.

A chill ran down Bi Fan's spine, and he felt immensely lucky.

If he hadn't had the Teleportation Jade Token, he would have met the same fate as the Barbaric Demon Ox.

In the blink of an eye, Bi Fan was back in Xiguan Town.

"That was a close call! The Teleportation Jade Token really is a treasure." Bi Fan was filled with emotion.

After restoring his original appearance and returning to Xiguan Town, he didn't hurry straight back to the outskirts of the Demon Realm.

He'd spent quite a while in the Demon Realm's second layer, and he had no idea what the Killing Intent around the outskirts was like now. He'd better find out first.

Besides, Bi Fan needed a Pet Belt, a spatial item where he could store a Magic Beast so it could rest. It was somewhat like a Cosmic Bag, but cheaper.

Evil Fire Snake Lion was too large. On top of that, it had shown its face near the outskirts of the Killing Intent zone, making it easy for people to recognize. If Bi Fan put it in a Pet Belt and took it out, there wouldn't be any trouble.

Bi Fan went to the trading market first, looking for a Pet Belt.

Pet Belts weren't common. Generally, only cultivators who had subdued Magic Beasts needed them.

Bi Fan searched for a long time but found nothing.

With no other choice, Bi Fan set up a stall himself, offering to trade a Cosmic Bag for a Pet Belt.

"Trading a Cosmic Bag for a Pet Belt, one for one! Anyone interested, come quick!" Unable to wait any longer, Bi Fan called out loudly, waving the Cosmic Bag in his hand.

Quite a few people gathered around at once.

"Brother, how much for the Cosmic Bag?"

"Brother, name your price. I'll take the Cosmic Bag."

"I'm only trading for a Pet Belt, not selling!" Bi Fan called out.

"Ah, what a shame. I don't have a Pet Belt."

"Brother, trade the Cosmic Bag for crystals, then buy a Pet Belt. I'll offer you a high price."

A crowd surrounded Bi Fan, chattering over one another until his head began to spin.

"I'm only trading for a Pet Belt, not selling!" Bi Fan repeated loudly.

"Brother, you can't be so rigid when doing business. Everything can be negotiated." Suddenly, a voice called out from the crowd.
