The Dragon Sable's Origins

While Bi Fan and the others searched for treasure in the Sea Dragon Palace, a scuffle broke out in Hundred Saints Palace. The Poison Sac Dugu Qian had given Bi Fan had been handed over to the Serpent Tail Evil Fire Snake Lion to refine, and it happened to be spotted by the Dragon Sable, who loved eating poisonous things more than anything.

The Dragon Sable knew how precious the Poison Sac was, so without another word, it went straight to snatch it.

The scorpion was enormous, and so was its Poison Sac. Part of it still stuck out of the Evil Fire Snake Lion's mouth. The Dragon Sable's eyes went red at the sight, and it moved even faster than usual, biting down on the exposed part and refusing to let go. It looked as if it were hanging upside down, all four little paws braced against the Poison Sac as it clamped its mouth down and tore at it. The Poison Sac was much bigger than the Dragon Sable, making it look like an ant biting into a jujube.

The Evil Fire Snake Lion knew that the Dragon Sable and Bi Fan had the same relationship with him: they were both Bi Fan's spirit beasts. The little glutton also made him wary of attacking it—he was afraid of hurting the Dragon Sable and being punished by Bi Fan. But he didn't want to share, either, so he shook his head as hard as he could, trying to fling the Dragon Sable off.

Of course, the Dragon Sable wasn't about to let it have its way. It held on to the Poison Sac with all its might. In the end, the Evil Fire Snake Lion had to give in and set the Poison Sac down so the Dragon Sable
