Background

According to Chaos, the Undying Race were created by an ancient mighty being using innate fertile soil. Though originally regarded as flawed creations, they developed into a race possessing extraordinary devouring, speed, and survival abilities 1346.

In ancient times, they waged war against the Hundred Ancient Races. The coalition eventually defeated them, but the victory cost most of its powerhouses and annihilated numerous races. The Undying Race were not exterminated; the majority were killed or sealed, while survivors spent countless years recovering their strength 1346 1347.

Their reemergence is first confirmed around Tianyuan Star, where Bi Fan identifies the local “alien creatures” as members of the Undying Race. At that point, their force includes tens of thousands of Ten Earths Golden Immortals and more than two hundred Destiny Immortal Kings, with their numbers continuing to grow through devouring 1350.

Appearance

Undying Race members have no fixed physical form. Their bodies resemble masses of wriggling mud that constantly alter shape; larger bodies generally possess stronger auras 1346.

Their lack of a conventional body makes them exceptionally difficult to kill.

• If their mud-like body is destroyed, they can rapidly reconstruct it as long as even a wisp of Spiritual Sense remains 1346.
• Their vitality must be fully exhausted or extinguished to kill them permanently 1349 1369.
• Destiny Law can directly annihilate them; Destruction Law can also kill them when cultivated to the Great Perfection of Nine-Nine-One-Cycle 1369.

Devouring and Evolution

Devouring is the foundation of the race's destructive power and growth.

• They consume all energy-bearing treasures and living beings; they do not use equipment 1348.
• They can devour members of their own race, cultivators, and Divine Artifacts to increase their cultivation 1354 1665.
• Devouring a Destiny Immortal King can allow a peak Ten Earths Golden Immortal member to evolve directly into a Destiny Immortal King, usually without Tribulation Crossing 1354.

The race can sacrifice large numbers of its own members to concentrate power into a select few.

• During one Blood Sacrifice, the collapse of a protective shield kills half the participating members and raises the remaining force to more than three hundred Destiny Immortal Kings 1380.
