Mu Changsheng didn't need to worry about Jiang Ruizhao. After all, he had given him all the evidence. If he still couldn't complete the task, then he really would be... an idiot.

However, Mu Changsheng received some bad news on his end.

He had been caught skipping class.

"Old Mu, pray for yourself. The counselor wants to see you."

Mu Changsheng looked at the message Xi Chunpeng had sent him, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

Seriously? What perfect timing for the counselor to suddenly decide to check attendance?

Mu Changsheng arrived at the education building and headed up to the third floor.

Mu Changsheng had only met the counselor a few times. She was practically an iron-faced judge, never showing favoritism.

"Come in."

A cool voice came from inside.

Mu Changsheng pushed open the door and walked in. A capable-looking woman with short hair was seated inside.

Her forehead was smooth and full, her eyebrows thick, their slightly upturned tails giving her an imposing aura even when she was not angry.

Her red lips were beautifully shaped and rosy in color.

She wore a well-tailored professional suit that highlighted her slender waist and upright figure.

Judging by that graceful figure, she seemed to work out at the gym regularly.

She was Shen Ying, Mu Changsheng's counselor.

"You are...?"

Shen Ying was slightly taken aback when she saw Mu Changsheng. In her memory... she didn't seem to have such a handsome student...

"Counselor, I'm Mu Changsheng from Education Class of '23."

Mu Changsheng awkwardly scratched his head as he spoke.

Upon hearing Mu Changsheng's name, Shen Ying took out her phone and looked at the list of students who had skipped class. A slight smile appeared on her lips. "You skipped class, didn't you?"

"Skipping class is nice. Did you go on a date with your girlfriend?"

Shen Ying put down her phone and looked at Mu Changsheng.

Mu Changsheng thought about it. In a little while, he would probably be getting intimate with Yang Shuyun, but he definitely could not say that.

So he simply shook his head. "No."

"Then why did you skip class?"

"Don't tell me you were studying for exams in the dorm?"

The corner of Mu Changsheng's mouth twitched. "No, I went to deliver food."

Shen Ying raised an eyebrow. "Deliver food?"

"You went out to make money?"

"Mu Changsheng, you're already a sophomore. I checked your attendance records for your other classes. You haven't skipped many, but I have this feeling... were your friends checking in for you?"

Shen Ying asked with a smile.

Mu Changsheng immediately turned serious. "Absolutely not."

"As long as you didn't. Since you were delivering food and going out to earn money, it wouldn't be right for me to keep criticizing you."

"You're an adult now. You're in college, and your top priority should still be your studies. Once you succeed academically, find a good job—safe and respectable. Understand?"

The lack of the expected scolding left Mu Changsheng slightly stunned. It seemed this counselor was actually pretty decent.

"However, if there's a next time, it won't be this simple."

Shen Ying said gravely.

"I guarantee there won't be a next time."

Mu Changsheng hurriedly promised.

Shen Ying nodded slightly, slowly rose to her feet, and turned to pick up the backpack beside her.

When Mu Changsheng saw Shen Ying's back, his expression froze.

"Then you may leave."

Shen Ying said calmly.

"It seems you... got your period."

Mu Changsheng placed the sanitary pads and black T-shirt in front of Shen Ying.

Mu Changsheng had thought he would add his counselor's contact to request leave. He had not expected it to happen this way.
