"The total is 5,340. QR code or cash?"
The receptionist spoke indifferently to Lin Kenning.
When Lin Kenning heard the amount, her face visibly paled. She said in shock, "How could it be this much?!"
Lin Kenning was about to question her when Mu Changsheng raised a hand to stop her. Smiling, he asked the receptionist, "Are you sure it's this much?"
The receptionist frowned, her tone cold. "What do you mean by that?"
"Heh, just asking."
A chill flashed through Mu Changsheng's eyes. He then scanned the code and paid.
"Kenning, let's go."
Mu Changsheng took Lin Kenning's hand and led her outside.
Lin Kenning looked at Mu Changsheng in confusion. "How could it cost so much again?"
"We shouldn't have needed to pay this much at all..."
Mu Changsheng merely smiled unconcernedly. "Kenning, the more they charge us, the more advantageous it is for us."
"I'd rather they charge us even more."
"The more, the better."
Lin Kenning could not understand what Mu Changsheng meant. She stood there blankly. "Huh?"
"What do you mean?"
"Let's go. We'll head to Tannan City First People's Hospital first."
Mu Changsheng shook his head with a smile and did not explain further.
Ruisheng Hospital, Du Mingde's office
A beautiful woman sat on Du Mingde's lap. Mu Changsheng was no stranger to her; she was the woman at the payment counter.
Du Mingde had an arm around the woman's waist, his gaze icy. "Damn it, the duck that was already in my mouth flew away."
"Oh, Director Du, aren't I still here?"
The woman spoke with a hint of jealousy.
Then she asked worriedly, "Director... what if people find out about the fake charges we made up...?"
Du Mingde glanced at the woman in his arms. "What do you know? In this hospital, aside from the director, my father is king. What can some poor bitch possibly do?"
"If that brat hadn't shown up today, I would've gotten Lin Kenning already."

"Doctor Wang, is my younger brother's illness early-stage stomach cancer...?"

"Stomach cancer?"
Doctor Wang froze. "What early-stage stomach cancer? The child is so young. How could he develop stomach cancer so quickly?"
"You just used the wrong medication, which worsened his condition and caused several polyps to grow in his stomach. Once they're removed, he'll be fine."
"Fortunately, you transferred him in time. Otherwise... the consequences might have been even more serious."
Doctor Wang's words left Lin Kenning rooted to the spot.
A slight smile appeared on Mu Changsheng's lips. It was more or less what he had expected. "Thank you, Doctor Wang."
"All right, the child's surgery can't be delayed. Go pay the fees first. We'll arrange the surgery for him today."
Doctor Wang shook his head.

After leaving the People's Hospital, Mu Changsheng returned to the villa and drove his McLaren toward a restaurant.

Her skin was fair.
Her high nose gave her facial features a more defined appearance.
Her long, glossy black hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall.
Her fitted business suit perfectly accentuated her graceful figure.
Mu Changsheng was somewhat surprised. She was a beauty too?
