One Realm Under Heaven
Wang Yue didn't really care. Transmigrators weren't much of a threat to him. At most, they'd force him to bring out something even more impressive.
So he remained unconcerned and said calmly, "It doesn't matter. What are you planning to do, though? Are you going to work for me, or stand aside and watch me fight them?"
Ning Yi looked at Wang Yue and said seriously, "What if I just want to eat, drink, and wait for death?"
Wang Yue could tell Ning Yi was hesitant, so he said earnestly, "Then you'd better keep at it. As far as I'm concerned, as long as you don't go to the Wu Dynasty, the Jin Kingdom, or the Liao Kingdom, I don't care if you go back into business."
Hearing this, Ning Yi relaxed. After thinking it over, he said with resignation, "I only lived a few decades longer than you, and I transmigrated much later. By the time I got here, it was already too late for everything. If I'd arrived earlier, I might have gone to the Liao Kingdom and gone head-to-head with Tang Mingyuan."
Wang Yue looked at Ning Yi and smiled. "Across the river, Fang Xifo has an army of over a hundred thousand. They're short a strategist. Want to go over there and see what you can do?"
Ning Yi raised an eyebrow and asked with some doubt, "Aren't you afraid I'll help them grow too powerful?"
Wang Yue shrugged and said indifferently, "I've done you a kindness. If you're the sort who'd repay kindness with treachery, you probably wouldn't have been outwitted by Tang Mingyuan. And I've done Fang Xifo and the others a kindness, too. They used to be martial-world men, so I doubt they'd turn on someone who helped them."
