After Zhou Linlin went to the Baiquan Design Company that had invited her, she was surprised to discover that its boss, Xiao Yi, was the owner of Password Disk Bar back in the day.
It had been years since they'd last seen each other, but they quickly fell into lively conversation. After exchanging pleasantries, Xiao Yi explained why he'd invited Zhou Linlin.
Baiquan had received a design commission from a technology company, but the client had rejected every proposal they'd submitted.
With no other options, Xiao Yi had learned that Future Technology's industrial designs were all done by the company's in-house designers. So he'd applied to collaborate, hoping to learn from them.
Many of Future Technology's designs really had come from Zhou Linlin and Ye Ruting. Wang Yue was lazier and didn't like getting involved in that sort of thing.
Still, whenever the two women finished a project, he always took a look at it.
The women thought Wang Yue was simply supporting their work. They had no idea he was just keeping an eye on things so he'd know what to copy if he ever needed to.
Zhou Linlin certainly didn't see it that way, so she said modestly, "Our team worked together on the industrial designs at our company. I wouldn't dare take all the credit myself. But I'll do my best with this collaboration."
Hearing that, Xiao Yi replied cheerfully, "You're too modest, Miss Zhou. I've seen your talent for design firsthand. Honestly, I feel like you're not designing so much as inventing. I'm really looking forward to working with you."
