When Wang Yue agreed, Qinqin and Duoduo both jumped up in delight. Zhang Xiaoyu even rose onto his toes and threw an arm around Wang Yue's shoulders, saying generously, "You're a friend worth having. How about this: I'll cover Frank's dog food."
Wang Yue didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He could afford to raise one dog, and he knew roughly what this kid was like, so he didn't refuse. Instead, he frowned and said, "That's no problem. But if I take care of Frank for you, you won't have time to visit him, will you?"
At that, Zhang Xiaoyu immediately showed his true colors. With great self-righteousness, he said, "Brother Wang, we're paying for the dog food. When we want to see Frank, you'll bring him over so we can play with him, right?"
Wang Yue didn't know whether to laugh or cry. This kid had quite a few tricks up his sleeve. He said with an amused sigh, "No problem. Whenever you want to see the dog, just let me know. As long as I don't have class, I can bring him over."
Seeing how easily Wang Yue had agreed, Duoduo and Qinqin jumped up and down happily, as if he'd agreed to something truly momentous.
After saying goodbye to them, Wang Yue headed toward the area near campus with the teddy bear named Frank. He planned to find an agent to buy an apartment and rent an office space, then develop his translation software. It was sure to earn enough money for the orphanage.
Once the company was up and running, he could even expand overseas and teach foreigners Chinese. That seemed like a market with plenty of potential, too.
He left the apartment purchase, office rental, and even setting up the company to the agent.
