The next morning, Wang Yue realized Master Yan Se had run out of talisman paper. He wanted to draw some talismans himself, so he decided to go buy some brushes, ink, and paper.
After leaving, he remembered that Ning Que seemed to sell those things, so without hesitation, he headed for Shubizhai.
When Wang Yue arrived at Shubizhai, he saw Ning Que apparently getting ready to go out. That was unlike the lazy Ning Que, so he asked in puzzlement, "Ning Que, where are you off to?"
Ning Que looked bright-eyed and energetic, with none of his usual laziness. Excitedly, he said, "Big Brother, I'm going to take the academy's entrance exam today. Want to come watch the fun?"
