Since the academy wasn't entertaining guests, Wang Yue and Shanshan couldn't very well impose on them. The two walked out of the academy side by side.
It was too late, so when they returned to the teahouse, they went to sleep in the same room that night, though not in the same bed.
Early the next morning, Mo Shanshan came out of the bedroom and saw Wang Yue sitting cross-legged outside. He had clearly spent the entire night cultivating, which made her very happy. The man who had stolen her heart was every bit the upright gentleman he seemed to be.
Wang Yue knew what Mo Shanshan was thinking. He had already come out of his meditation when she emerged. Remembering that this was Shanshan's first time in Chang'an, he suggested they go sightseeing around the city.
The Great River Kingdom admired Tang culture, and Mo Shanshan was curious about everything in Chang'an. She looked around everywhere like a little girl, while Wang Yue patiently accompanied her. They spent half the day wandering about before returning to the teahouse together.
Of course, their outing hadn't been fruitless. Besides finding plenty of interesting things, they had also heard some news.
Apparently, a cultivator named Yan Suqing had died in a teahouse where Sang Sang had taken them.
Wang Yue suspected Ning Que was responsible, but he didn't say so. He planned to ask Ning Que about it when he had time. After all, unless Ning Que was willing to tell him, there was no way for him to find out what had happened.
But over the next few days, he didn't see Ning Que at all, and even Sang Sang had disappeared. He supposed they must have gone to recuperate, so he could only wait.
Wang Yue wasn't in a hurry.
