Chapter 14: Where Did the Men's Bathhouse Go?

Wang Yue saw that Zheng Wei seemed to have noticed him, so he couldn't just walk in directly. He waited there, watching the beautiful girl slowly approach. It had to be said, a beautiful girl was quite a sight for sore eyes.

"Wang Yue, what a coincidence!" Zheng Wei felt it was too coincidental when she saw Wang Yue from afar. They were too fated. It had only been a few days since school started, and they had already met so many times.

"Yeah, I think it's really a coincidence. We didn't even know the hot water was supplied on a schedule! Hey, it seems we have a deep connection! What do you think we should do?" Wang Yue said playfully.

However, Wang Yue's words and actions now carried a hint of Xiao Nai's demeanor, after all, he had studied for three years. This playful expression, in Zheng Wei's eyes, actually made him look a bit simple and honest.

The Wang Yue she had met before had a certain aloofness, but this sudden shift to being so simple and honest made Zheng Wei pause for a moment.

She quickly regained her composure and didn't respond to Wang Yue's words. Instead, she looked at the other three people and asked, "Are these your roommates?"

"Yeah, we're in the same dorm, and they're all from our Civil Engineering department. You must have seen them in class!" Wang Yue quickly introduced his roommates to Zheng Wei.

Zheng Wei greeted them generously, saying she had been busy lately and hadn't gotten to know many people in the class, for which she apologized.

After seeing Zheng Wei up close, Zhang Yang, Han Wen, and Liu Lei's intelligence dropped significantly. They were all傻乎乎 (silly/foolish) and could only say "it's okay," not even knowing how to strike up a conversation.

Seeing the state of the three of them, Zheng Wei thought smugly, This is how freshmen boys should react when they see a beautiful girl.

She then looked back at Wang Yue and found that he was acting quite normally. But that normalcy was the most abnormal thing of all!

The group was chatting happily in the lobby when suddenly two people walked over from a corner. Wang Yue took a closer look and realized one of them was Zhang Kai, whom he had met during registration.

"Zheng Wei, are you heading for a shower! Where are your roommates? Not with you?" Before Zhang Kai could speak, another boy with him spoke first, firing off three questions in a row.

"I don't talk to rude people!" Zheng Wei was still holding a grudge. She turned her head proudly and ignored him. She then turned to Wang Yue and his friends, waving her delicate hand and saying, "I'm going in first, bye-bye!"

It was her first time at the public bathhouse. She looked left and right at the two bathrooms. The one on the right had no sign, and the one on the left was labeled "Girls' Bathroom." Confirming the direction, she prepared to enter the one on the left.

Wang Yue vaguely remembered seeing a boy go in when they first arrived! He quickly and kindly reminded her.

"Zheng Wei, I remember a boy entering the one on the left about five minutes ago!" Wang Yue said with certainty.

"Doesn't it say 'Girls' here?" Zheng Wei asked, confused.

"No way!" Wang Yue and his roommates walked closer to take a look, and it was indeed a girl!

"That tall, skinny person just now was a girl?" Fourth Brother Liu Lei looked incredulous.

"She shouldn't be a girl! I thought she was a boy!" Han Wen thought carefully about the person's appearance.

"Zheng Wei, wait a moment, don't go in yet. I'll go find the attendant to check it out," Zhang Yang said enthusiastically, heading towards the nearby office without waiting for a reply.

"Then you guys be busy, we're leaving!" As soon as Zhang Kai heard they were going to find the bath attendant, he saw that the situation was bad and quickly pulled Xu Kaiyang away.

Seeing their reaction, Wang Yue shook his head. These two were acting guilty, which was utterly speechless. Weren't they sophomores? They still acted like children who hadn't grown up. If something really happened and it wasn't handled well, they would definitely be disciplined.

Not long after they left, the bath attendant on duty arrived. Upon seeing the situation, she immediately understood what was going on. After carefully inquiring about the situation and learning that no problems had occurred, she didn't say much. She walked over and restored the sign on the left to its original position.

As for the sign for the men's bathroom, she couldn't find it for a moment. The attendant was efficient and went back to get a marker pen, writing two large characters on the door! What she wrote was obvious to everyone.

Zheng Wei was completely bewildered. She was known as the Jade-Faced Little Flying Dragon, but she was still terrified. If she accidentally walked into the men's bathroom and got caught, she would be finished. Lin Jing's brother would not want her anymore.

Thinking of this, her large eyes instantly filled with tears. How could there be such annoying people? Don't let me find out who did this! Zheng Wei thought fiercely.

Xu Kaiyang, who had already run far away, felt a chill and quickly asked Zhang Kai, "Will there be any problems if we just ran away like that?"

Zhang Kai said with uncertainty, "Probably not. No one was around when we switched the signs."

"But weren't those people talking to Zheng Wei just walking over then? If they report us, we're doomed!" Xu Kaiyang suddenly stopped, his tone full of worry.

"Kaiyang, how about we go confess to the attendant? It's good that nothing happened, so the punishment probably won't be too severe."

"Sure. We'll just say we were watching the whole time and wouldn't let anyone make a real mistake!" Zhang Kai felt his confidence returning.

No one knew how they sweet-talked the kind attendant, but when Wang Yue and his roommates came out, they saw Zhang Kai and Xu Kaiyang standing in the middle of the bath hall, each holding a piece of A4 paper with "-Men" and "Women-" written on them respectively.

Before they came out, Chen Xiaozheng had finished his shower at a leisurely pace. He packed his toiletries and, just as he reached the door, saw Zhang Kai and Xu Kaiyang there. He glanced at them, didn't say hello, and turned to leave.

After Wang Yue and the other three came out, they saw the two pieces of paper and knew it was the attendant's solution. As they passed the attendant's window, Wang Yue gave the attendant inside a thumbs-up. The attendant saw it and immediately burst into a wide, triumphant smile.

About ten minutes after Wang Yue left, Zheng Wei also finished her shower and came out. She also saw the two of them and immediately burst into laughter when she saw the papers in their hands.

She didn't know what she remembered, but she quickly suppressed her laughter and walked out the door. However, she hadn't walked far before her clear laughter could be heard from a distance.

The bath attendant heard her laughter and shook her head. She thought to herself, This girl is too naive. I wonder who will trick her!

Meanwhile, Xu Kaiyang was staring blankly in the direction Zheng Wei had gone, lost in thought! This girl was so beautiful. He must have been out of his mind that day at registration.

Zhang Kai looked at Xu Kaiyang, then at the direction Zheng Wei had gone. He suddenly felt that his Guan Guan now had one less suitor! He was thrilled!
