Wang Yue saw that Lin Beixing didn't believe him, so he tried another approach. "How about this? We test it. If I'm lying, I'll agree to one condition of yours. How does that sound?"
Lin Beixing hadn't been angry with Wang Yue in the first place. She thought he was only saying this to cheer her up, and she was actually quite happy about it.
But now, seeing how determined Wang Yue was to test it, she wasn't sure whether he really could travel through time.
Thinking it over, she had nothing to lose either way. Why not give it a try?
So she made up her mind right away. "All right. Let's try it when I get off work."
Wang Yue wasn't in a hurry. He only wanted to give it a try today, so he readily agreed. After dropping Lin Beixing off at the zoo, he found a spot nearby and got to work as a coder.
By the time Lin Beixing finished work, it was already quite late. Fortunately, Wang Yue was waiting for her at the zoo entrance. After they ate together, they took a taxi back. She didn't have to squeeze onto a bus like before, so the trip home was much quicker.
