Shi Fen hurriedly tried to shift the blame, then said excitedly, "We heard Wan Sui sleepwalked into the haunted building, so we rushed over to check on him!"

Shi Fen sighed with feeling. "I can't believe we're leaving just as we've come to appreciate Instructor. It's actually kind of hard to say goodbye."
Cheng Haonan nodded solemnly. "Instructor is a role model for us all. He's humble and composed, and even when he rescues someone, he keeps a low profile."
Wan Sui nodded too, admiration in his voice. "Right. He's incredibly skilled, too. Even with the advantage of the terrain, the criminal was no match for him."
As the three of them took turns praising Instructor, Wang Yue grew curious and asked Wan Sui, "By the way, why did that criminal kidnap you?"
Wan Sui shook his head, looking baffled. "I have no idea."
Seeing Wan Sui deny knowing anything, Wang Yue figured that with his intelligence, he probably wouldn't get a useful answer anyway, so he didn't press him.
