Xu Fengnian looked at Luoyang, a little worried. "Luoyang, Wang Yue..."
He didn't finish the sentence, but he was deeply concerned. The misunderstanding between him and Wang Yue had yet to be cleared up, and Wang Yue had nearly wiped out Luoyang's entire family.
Luoyang had lived for eight hundred years, searching for the reincarnation of the Qin Emperor for a long time. Her heart filled with anguish, another personality had taken shape within her.
That personality was much like one of the Qin Emperor's beloved consorts. Perhaps Luoyang had thought that if she were more like that woman, the Qin Emperor might have loved her and stayed by her side for the rest of their lives.
In time, Luoyang's second personality gradually emerged. While her first personality slept, she joined Qi Jian Yue Fu and became its prodigy, Huang Baozhuang. Taiping Ling even bestowed upon her the poetic title Shan Jianqing.
But when news reached Northern Mang that Xu Fengnian had awakened the Qin Emperor's soul on Wudang Mountain and fallen out with Wang Yue, Luoyang suddenly awoke. She hurried south to find Xu Fengnian, and happened to encounter Wang Yue and his party, whereupon they fought.
Luoyang had told Xu Fengnian all of this when they reconciled. That was why he had asked.
Luoyang shook her head and smiled. "Palace Master Sun launched a flying-sword ambush against Wang Yue from a thousand li away. Wang Yue returned the favor with a single sword strike. That was fair. I won't go looking for Wang Yue just to get myself killed over this. Let's focus on our campaign. I'm going with you."
Xu Fengnian felt relieved. Smiling, he said, "Stay here. With Old Huang and Old Kui by my side, even if we really are outmatched, we can still escape."
