The dean heard him out, then said bluntly, "All right, I know you're mature for your age. Don't pretend to be a little kid. Just tell me whether you're willing."

As she spoke, she made a point of glancing at Xia He, the threat in her eyes unmistakable.

Wang Yue didn't think the dean would actually do anything to Xia He, but if she deliberately kept him and Xia He apart, that would be a real hassle.

So he had no choice but to give in. He said with a sigh, "Fine. I'll run evening tutoring sessions here at the orphanage. Anyone who wants to study can come. How does that sound?"

The dean thought Wang Yue's suggestion was even better than what she'd had in mind, and smiled. "Great. I won't make you do it for free, either. I'll pay you!"
