Meng Xiaotian's post on Moments got a flood of likes, and plenty of comments too.
He was especially proud of himself as he introduced Wang Yue as a guy he knew who was great at basketball and even cooked delicious food. He'd let something slip without meaning to.
After all, it wouldn't have meant much if he'd only said Wang Yue was good at basketball. But when Meng Xiaotian added that he cooked well too, it was hard not to read something into it.
They'd only been abroad for a day, and they'd already found someone willing to cook for them?
And it was a guy doing the cooking?
Something was clearly off. The guy had to be after something. It probably wasn't Meng Xiaotian, which left only Yin Guo.
So Yin Guo's grandmother grew restless, and Meng Xiaodong started making arrangements to come to the United States ahead of schedule.
Wang Yue had no idea any of this was going on. He spent the day showing the siblings around, then made hot pot at home that evening.
Eating hot pot from home in a foreign country, with flavors that suited her perfectly, put Yin Guo at ease and made her feel even closer to Wang Yue.
Unfortunately, they were leaving the next day, so they wouldn't be able to stay and enjoy any more of Wang Yue's cooking.
Still disappointed, the siblings planned to watch Wang Yue's game before leaving the next day. At first, they were already excited just watching him play.
