Chapter 19: School Sports Meet

A few days before the school sports meet, Wang Yue finally spent the money he had. After much deliberation, with his experience, he concluded that there was no safer way to make money than buying property.

On the day of the basketball finals, the Civil Engineering department and the Architecture Design department clashed in the women's 4x100m relay.

Zheng Wei's anchor leg successfully showed everyone who the wildest girl in the Civil Engineering department was. However, they still lost the race.

"Yes, referee! The person who just said the difference was one centimeter was from the Architecture Design department. His words lack credibility!" Wang Yue argued logically.

"He's from the Architecture Design department?" When the referee talking to Wang Yue heard this, he asked the other staff members.

One of them recognized Chen Xiaozheng, as he was someone several professors often praised.

"Yes, he's Chen Xiaozheng from the Architecture Design department!"

After getting a positive answer, the referee was flustered. They couldn't possibly re-run the race!

"What I said is true, I was standing right there!" As the referee hesitated, Chen Xiaozheng suddenly walked over to emphasize!

"You were standing there looking at her chest! Are you sure you saw anything else?" Wang Yue retorted without mercy.

"Haha!"

When the surrounding people heard Wang Yue's words, they burst into laughter. Even some of the staff members were blushing, holding back their laughter.

"You!" Chen Xiaozheng's face turned even redder. He wanted to retort, but he didn't have Wang Yue's thick skin.

"Then what do you suggest we do!" The referee, like a peacemaker, quickly tried to smooth things over as Wang Yue and Chen Xiaozheng were about to argue.

"It's a campus sports meet. The students pulling the lines aren't precise. An error of 5 centimeters is normal. In that situation, it should obviously be a tie for first place!" Wang Yue gave his suggestion without thinking.

"But there's no such precedent!" The referee was actually tempted but was a bit hesitant.

The other competitions were still in full swing. Wang Yue mostly went to watch the finals that his classmates participated in. Most of the time, he headed to the library.

Wang Yue felt that the biggest difference between East China University of Architecture and Qing University was that he followed Xiao Nai, and someone pointed out what he needed to learn.

There was no other way. He had to go to the library and learn honestly.

Here, Wang Yue often saw Zheng Wei's roommates. As for Zheng Wei, she was off playing somewhere again.

One day, when Wang Yue returned from the library, he saw a love letter posted on the school bulletin board. It was written by Chen Xiaozheng to Zheng Wei, but the handwriting looked familiar.
