In the eyes of Soviet economists, all the money Wang Yue had borrowed had been spent in Polar Bear territory. Even if the exchange rate depreciated in the future, Polar Bear wouldn't suffer much. At worst, they could just freeze those assets.
What they didn't know was that Wang Yue had already made back his investment long ago. The rest was nothing more than an excuse.
When Wang Yue was pouring money into construction in the Nawa region of the Bleaching World, he had set up 550C to build all kinds of production lines. Most were for light industry, but there were heavy industries and even high-tech ones, too.
Take drones, for example. Wang Yue had a complete set of drone equipment, both land-based and sea-based. Those were what would give the Nawa region the means to dominate South Asia.
The technology was simply too advanced to bring out of nowhere, so it wouldn't have been appropriate to reveal it without a reason. This opportunity to import in bulk gave him the perfect chance to get that equipment into place.
And so, with both sides tacitly in agreement, 1992 gradually passed amid Wang Yue's massive purchases. During that process, Future Group grew from a tiny seedling into a towering tree.
Future Group covered an exceptionally broad range of businesses, from food processing to aircraft manufacturing, doing much to make up for the country's industrial and technological shortcomings.
By the end of that year, Polar Bear's economy had been supported by Wang Yue's nearly trillion-dollar purchasing spree, making life a little easier for ordinary people.
However, even with Wang Yue's efforts to keep it alive, the Soviet economy was still being mismanaged at home and abroad. Its collapse was inevitable.
