Fang Hui's smile didn't last long. Then she saw something that left her deeply frustrated.
The only empty seat in the classroom was behind Wang Yue, so Lin Jiamo was assigned to sit there.
As for changing seats, she'd have to wait until after the next monthly exam.
Fang Hui had been hoping she'd get a chance to move over, but now it seemed there was no way.
Wang Yue hadn't expected Lin Jiamo to be seated behind him so often, either. He was tall and broad-shouldered, and didn't think it was right to block a girl's view. So when Lin Jiamo came over, he smiled and asked, "Lin Jiamo, would you like to switch seats? I'm tall enough to block your view."
"Sure, thank you!"
Lin Jiamo didn't refuse. In fact, she said happily, "You're such a nice person. I'm finding out there are lots of nice people in our class."
When Wang Yue saw that she'd agreed, he moved his desk aside and went to help her move hers. As he did, he asked, "Who else is nice?"
Lin Jiamo carried her stool forward. Once she was settled, she smiled and said, "Fang Hui! She's really nice, too. She was the first person I met when I joined the class."
Wang Yue had actually seen this scene in the memories he'd gained, but he'd only just learned that for himself. He smiled and asked, "So that's how it is. But Fang Hui's a bit of a poor thing. People in this class have bullied her terribly!
"With you around, her life might get a little better!"
Lin Jiamo didn't quite believe him. She quickly glanced at Fang Hui, only to catch Fang Hui looking her way. She hurriedly waved at Fang Hui, then turned back to Wang Yue
