Bei Weiwei was a little confused by what they were saying. Growing impatient, she asked, "What are you guys talking about? Can someone tell me what happened?"
Seeing how anxious Bei Weiwei had become, Er Xi finally told her the whole story.
After hearing it, Bei Weiwei's first reaction wasn't relief that the gossip had been dealt with. Instead, she asked in shock, "How did Watermelon know that Xiao Nai liked me?"
Sisi answered very directly. "Our companies are working together. Xiao Nai must've told him!"
"Congratulations!"
"Congrats on winning over the Campus Hunk!"
"Good luck!"
Hearing Sisi say that while everyone else congratulated her left Bei Weiwei with mixed feelings.
"I'm going to talk to Watermelon!"
She hesitated, then stood up and left them with those words before heading to Nie Xiguang's office.
Xie Xiaofeng noticed that Bei Weiwei seemed clearly out of sorts, and couldn't help asking, "Is that Xiao Nai guy ugly or something? Why isn't Weiwei happy?"
Er Xi didn't catch on at all. Hearing Xie Xiaofeng, she asked uncertainly, "He's pretty handsome. He's our school's Campus Hunk. Even Meng Yiran, our school's Campus Belle, likes him!"
Sisi didn't know why Xie Xiaofeng had asked that, so she turned to her and said, "Xiaofeng, did you see that wrong? How could this not be something to celebrate? Maybe Weiwei's just too happy?"
Hearing them, Xie Xiaofeng began to wonder if she'd imagined it, too. She gazed expectantly at Nie Xiguang's office.
Nie Xiguang was also surprised to see Bei Weiwei. It was nearly lunchtime, and she'd been about to go out to eat with Wang Yue.
But Bei Weiwei clearly seemed unhappy, so Nie Xiguang quickly messaged Wang Yue before asking, "Weiwei, what's wrong? Tell me what happened! I'll stand up for you!"
