The Question of Recommended Admission
Wang Yue was always making Qiao Yingzi laugh. She was used to it by now, but she hadn't expected him to be so mischievous even in front of Professor Liu.
Afraid he might leave Professor Liu with a bad impression, she quickly kicked Wang Yue, then hurriedly introduced him. "Professor Liu, this is Wang Yue. Our Space Shuttle design was mostly his work. I designed the outer shell, but he guided me through it."
Seeing how reserved Qiao Yingzi was, Wang Yue knew how excited she must be. Thinking of her dream, he felt this was an opportunity. If Professor Liu could persuade Qiao Yingzi's mother, Song Qian, to let Yingzi attend the university she wanted, it might make her much happier.
Wang Yue glanced at Qiao Yingzi, then said meaningfully to Professor Liu, "Hello, Professor Liu. Qiao Yingzi and I are on the same team. She's full of ideas, so she comes up with them, and I help make them happen. The design may have mostly been my work, but the ideas are just as important."
Professor Liu gave Wang Yue a long look, then smiled and asked, "You're Wang Yue? Could we see your Space Shuttle?"
Wang Yue glanced at Qiao Yingzi, who was watching expectantly, and smiled as he corrected Professor Liu. "It's Qiao Yingzi's. That's important."
Professor Liu had asked because he wanted to make sure. Now that he understood Wang Yue's point, he looked from Wang Yue to Qiao Yingzi and shook his head helplessly.
He had already asked the principal about Wang Yue's grades. He got nearly perfect marks in every subject. A student like that certainly had the right to set conditions. After all, he could go to almost any university he wanted without needing a special admission
