When Damai heard Wang Yue say that, she frowned. "What's wrong with me? I'm not going back and rewriting that kind of novel. I don't want my dad to find out. It'd be so embarrassing."
Wang Yue shook his head helplessly. He could tell that Damai just couldn't get past the hurdle in her own mind. He sighed, then said seriously, "It's normal to run out of inspiration. You can look for it in everyday life or in books. If that doesn't work, check out other authors in your genre and see what inspires them. You could try imitating them a little. Every story under the sun borrows from something else."
Damai's eyes lit up at Wang Yue's suggestion. That actually might work. She could take a look at how other writers continued their stories and use their ideas. Every author had a different style, and if you read someone else's work without having their experiences, you could easily end up writing something that was neither one thing nor the other. It wasn't that he didn't want to help; he simply had no experience creating original works. He could copy things if asked, but that wasn't much use to someone who loved writing original stories.
Old Ma had only been distracted for a moment when he saw Wang Yue get up and walk several steps away. He called after him, "By the way, how much money do you have?
