Uchiha Madara's Shadow Clone had chased Ashikaga Hyuga to the foot of a cliff. With his back to the rock face, Ashikaga Hyuga had been ready for this. He immediately unleashed a charged punch, chakra condensing into a massive beam of light that hurtled toward Madara at a speed even an ordinary Kage would struggle to react to.
The sheer force of it sent the ground trembling beneath the shockwaves of chakra pressure. Cracks spread rapidly like a spiderweb, and a nearby mountainside was punched straight through, rocks and soil rumbling as they collapsed.
"Not bad power, but your aim needs work."
Madara had dodged with Body Flicker and a substitution. Now he stood just seven or eight meters from Ashikaga Hyuga—practically right in front of him—with his arms folded and a calm expression.
"Too bad all you have is the Byakugan."
"Phew."
Knowing he couldn't get away, Ashikaga Hyuga's expression turned stern. He lowered his gaze and went straight in for close-quarters combat.
If he could control Madara's tenketsu, he might have a chance of surviving. If not, his life would end here.
If he tried to put some distance between them, Madara would attack with ninjutsu. Without the Main Family's secret technique, Rotation, Ashikaga Hyuga would die even faster.
"Now that's the kind of look a man should have when he's ready to die."
At the bottom of the cliff, the shadows were dim and gloomy. The crimson glow of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan gleamed in Madara's eyes.
"I saw you on the battlefield once. Come on, entertain me, Ashikaga Hyuga!"
Ashikaga Hyuga suddenly disappeared from where he stood, leaving only an afterimage wavering in the air.
Madara leaned aside to evade the Gentle Fist attacking from behind. He twisted his ankle and appeared behind
