"This child is the one...?"
Fu Hua expertly took Xuanyuan Sword into her arms, stroking her cheeks as though she were a little baby.
The feeling was very familiar.
Xuanyuan Sword also stretched out her arms, wanting to wrap them around Fu Hua.
It was incredibly heartwarming.
Zhao Bai was not someone who lacked tact. He stood to one side and watched quietly as Fu Hua reached out to stroke her chin, then suddenly smiled.
The usually stern Squad Leader was actually smiling.
She must have been very happy.
She normally seemed as though she carried something immensely heavy on her shoulders, her face always stern.
"This child is very cute."
"Are you interested in becoming her godmother?"
"Forget it. I'm from Shenzhou, and I'm not a Christian. I can't become anyone's godmother."
"Then how about her adoptive mother?"
Zhao Bai's words earned a faint smile from Fu Hua. She had not felt this relaxed in a very long time—not because of an ordinary infant.
"Is she an object?"
As she stroked Xuanyuan Sword, Fu Hua could tell that it did not feel like human skin.
Zhao Bai made a gesture, and Xuanyuan Sword immediately understood. She transformed, and a mysterious yellow greatsword appeared in the air, happily circling Zhao Bai.
Man and sword were harmoniously united.
Fu Hua was slightly surprised. She sensed that unusual spark of liveliness, something novel she had never experienced before.
All of a sudden, she felt a little relieved.
"I have a sword technique. Would you like to learn it?"
"Hm?"
Danqing doesn't know old age is coming; life to me is like floating clouds.
Her body was shattered, and her mind was shattered just like her body. Yet even a shattered mirror could reflect a person's heart.
"You won't betray me, will you?"
