Confusion was one thing, but the pervasive killing intent in the air rather ruined the atmosphere. Zhao Bai frowned as he looked around, prepared for an attack from any direction.
Seele attacked.
Not that ghostly blue Seele, but the arrogant red Seele.
The pungent smell of blood made Zhao Bai frown. What followed were rapidly growing gigantic tentacles. They felt like vine-like plants, yet carried the bloody stench of animals. Combined with spikes and dark red blood, they were truly mysterious.
The tentacles rose high into the air, then came crashing down.
An icy-blue blade flashed as it cut. Zhao Bai calmly drew his blade in a reverse grip, its edge pointing upward as he slashed against the wind, sending vast swathes of snow-white light spiraling out like a merciless harvesting machine. Before the tentacles could strike, they were severed into several pieces in midair.
This was the Reverse Wind Slash technique.
"Any other tricks? Give it everything you've got."
Zhao Bai said calmly.
Tentacles could not be cut away completely. For every one severed, two or even three more would grow back. Zhao Bai knew these were all feints; the true attacker should have been Black Seele. So while provoking her, he quietly reached into his clothes and took out his black-framed glasses.
"What are you doing?"
"If I can't see you clearly, how am I supposed to beat you flat?"
Zhao Bai replied, then quickly fled while she was stunned, escaping from the Sea of Quanta toward the real world.
He had nearly forgotten just now—he was fighting an amphibious creature underwater. Victory was impossible. He had to drag this thing, adapted to the Sea of Quanta, to the point where it intersected with reality before he would have a chance to win.
In just this short while,
