Though she had only caught a fleeting glimpse, Temari was certain she had not been mistaken. The instant the Impermanence Naraka Path spat out Gaara's restored body, she had seen many corpses lying in neat rows inside the monster's mouth, in what seemed to be another world.
Like Gaara's restored body, they were pristine and lifelike, with only their closed eyes betraying their condition. There were men and women, young and old. There was no way every one of them could have been connected to Nakamori Wu Yu.

Wu Yu did not seem particularly concerned. He smiled and said, "Since I have this knack for restoring bodies, of course I should use it to help people. If someone's relative or friend passes away, even if it happened ages ago and only bones remain, or if they died in battle and all that was brought back was an arm, I can restore the whole body. Over time, I ended up with some unclaimed ones, so I've kept them."

Temari stared at him, dumbfounded. "Why would you keep things like—"
Wu Yu smiled and glanced at Gaara, who looked as though he were merely asleep in her arms. "What if some technique comes along in the future that can bring the dead back to life? Wouldn't it be a shame to have that technique but no intact body to use it on?"
