At the entrance of a little shop on a Konoha street, Karin waved under the sun. Even beneath the shade of the parasol, her red hair was dazzlingly vivid. By comparison, Sakura Haruno's pink hair beside her looked much duller.
Shiho walked over with a smile and asked curiously, "How does Sakura have free time too? Isn't the hospital busy all year round?"
Karin said, "What do you mean by that? Are you saying Anbu like me have nothing to do?"
Sakura Haruno was speechless. "Who goes around announcing that they're Anbu?"
Shiho smiled. "Karin, whenever you get busy, it just happens to be because you're doing work outside the Anbu, right? The Sealing Squad, Sensor Squad, Medical Squad—apparently, lots of departments have legends about how you'll help anyone who asks."
Karin planted her hands on her hips and burst into a wild, arrogant laugh.
Sakura Haruno said, "Because of the Chakra Pills, the village's medical ninja have it much easier now. Tasks that used to require three or four medical ninja of the same rank working shifts can now be completed by just one person. They only need to take a Chakra Pill afterward, and there are no side effects at all. It's been a huge help."
Karin said, "And there are rumors that the Chakra Pills are getting an improved new version. Senior medical ninja and the three Ino-Shika-Cho clans developed it together. Taking the new Chakra Pills repeatedly might even permanently increase a ninja's total Chakra. Now it's not just all the medical ninja—the Sensor Squad, Sealing Squad, Barrier Squad, Jonin Squad—everyone's fighting to work overtime, hoping they'll get more of the new Chakra Pills later. Someone as junior as Sakura probably can't even compete for the right to work overtime these days."
