A rumble sounded in the distance. Suddenly, in the direction of the Valley of Clouds and Lightning, a gigantic monster with a bull's head and octopus tails rose from the ground. Its bizarre anatomy, enormous bulk, and terrifying, ominous chakra made the Kumogakure ninja guarding the nearby area tremble despite the distance.
"What—is that monster?"
"Why did Lord Killer B suddenly turn into the Eight-Tails?! Lord Raikage told him he wasn't allowed to do that!"
The two Kumogakure ninja, one dark-skinned and one light-skinned, stared in shock. But the dark-skinned one was more experienced. He immediately led his light-skinned companion from the Yotsuki Clan toward the Eight-Tails to investigate. If Killer B had suddenly lost control, they would have to notify Lord Raikage and have him deal with it. But if Lord Killer B had simply decided on a whim to undergo Tailed Beast Transformation without losing control, then—why would Killer B suddenly start acting bizarrely and transforming at random? It sounded outrageous, but somehow, it didn't feel all that outrageous!
The Dark-Skinned Cloud Ninja felt a heavy weight on his heart, inwardly cursing. They were supposedly Killer B's guards, but in reality, they were there to monitor the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki. Before they could arrive, a tremendous explosion erupted where the Eight-Tails stood. Blinding light and fierce winds surged toward them, sweeping everything aside with a terrifying force that seemed intent on annihilating all in its path.
The Dark-Skinned Cloud Ninja shouted soundlessly, grabbed the still-dazed Light-Skinned Cloud Ninja, and used Body Flicker to get them both behind a slope, sheltering them from the earth-shattering commotion roaring in their ears.
When everything settled, the young Yotsuki Clan member
