Lin Qi gained powerful protection and mentorship, then absorbed a two-thousand-year Soul Ring and defeated Tang San at Nuoding Academy. After Tang San’s defeat and Yu Xiaogang’s expulsion, Tang Hao urged him to seek Master Meng’s instruction as Lin Qi prepared to go to the Star Dou Great Forest.

• Lin Qi awakened his Mountain River Sword Martial Soul with Innate Full Soul Power, and the Background Suppression System bound Tang San as his Suppression Target.
• Tang Hao revealed Tang San’s Clear Sky Hammer to him, but Leng Qing attacked Tang Hao when he approached Lin Qi and left him badly injured.
• Lin Qi chose Master Meng as his teacher over Yu Xiaogang, and Master Meng revealed himself as a Titled Douluo while taking Lin Qi and Xiao Wu to the Soul Hunting Forest.
• Lin Qi gained the willing sacrifice of an Earth Nether Sword Ridge Beast, absorbed its two-thousand-year Soul Ring, and received its External Soul Bone.
• Tang San challenged Lin Qi at Nuoding Academy, but Lin Qi broke his Blue Silver Bind and defeated him with his fist and sword techniques.
• Master Meng and the academy dean punished Yu Xiaogang, who was expelled, while Tang San vowed to overcome Lin Qi.

Lin Qi gained the loyalty of ancient Soul Beasts, claimed the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and strengthened his powers while Xiao Wu joined him. In Heaven Dou City, he won fame in the arena and revealed the surviving Great Li forces gathering around him.

• Tang San failed to become Master Meng’s disciple, while Lin Qi, Master Meng, and Xiao Wu reached the Star Dou Great Forest, where the Battle Saint Ape and Six-Winged Golden Mantis recognized Lin Qi as the Ancient Beast God’s successor.
• Lin Qi earned the respect of the forest’s powerful Soul Beasts, absorbed the Five-Colored Star Butterfly’s Soul Ring, gained Five Elements Protection, and gave its External Soul Bone to Xiao Wu.
• At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Master Meng defeated Dugu Bo, and Lin Qi claimed the site and recruited Dugu Bo to protect his granddaughter.
• Lin Qi tempered his body in the well, revealed his Water Fire Dragon Ring, and had Master Meng begin treating Dugu Bo’s Poisonous Toxin Backlash.
• In Heaven Dou City, Lin Qi bound Xue Qinghe as a Suppression Target, while Ge Ming revealed Lin Qi’s identity as the rightful Emperor of Great Li and equipped him and Xiao Wu for arena fights.
• Under the name Lin Yi, Lin Qi defeated Zhang Li and Chen Feng with his Fire Sword, drawing Qian Renxue’s interest and earning the arena crowd’s acclaim.
• Xue Qinghe met Lin Qi outside the arena and gave him an identity token, then watched as two Titled Douluo commanders knelt and called Lin Qi their emperor.
• Ge Ming brought Lin Qi and Xiao Wu to the Great Li Temporary Palace, where they met the commanders of its Blood and Iron Guards and learned that the other five guard commanders had yet to arrive.

Lin Qi and his allies displayed their strength while building ties and confronting threats from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, the Wind Sword Sect, and Spirit Hall. The arc ended with Lin Qi arriving at Shrek Academy as Master Meng attacked Li Yusong over his treatment of applicants.

• Ning Rongrong joined Chen Feng against Lin San and Xiao Wu, but Lin San defeated Chen Feng while Xiao Wu pinned and spanked Ning Rongrong.
• Sword Douluo challenged Lin Qi, but Tie Hu blocked his attacks and reflected his Ninth Soul Skill, then Leng Qing defeated Sword Douluo in a separate fight.
• Gong Qiuli revealed that her Compass Martial Soul could teleport between anchors, and Dugu Bo endured the first stage of fusing the Snowy Swan Kiss with his Martial Soul.
• Qian Renxue enlisted Lin Qi’s help against the Wind Sword Sect, while Leng Qing defeated Light Feather Douluo and left Qian Renxue alarmed about the Lin family’s power.
• Lin Qi absorbed a fusion Soul Ring from the Soul Hook Scorpion and Bloodthirsty Centipede, while Dugu Bo reported finding Tang San at Shrek Academy.
• Qian Renxue offered Lin Qi an alliance and revealed her identity as Spirit Hall’s Young Master, but Leng Qing ambushed her after she left Heaven Dou City and Lin Qi intervened to save her.

Lin Qi established Great Li Royal Academy, drawing students, teachers, and political attention while training a group of Soul Masters through his Sword Qi. As Heaven Dou’s court prepared for a change of rulers, Tang San and Shrek Academy set their sights on challenging Great Li’s academy.

• Master Meng punished Zhao Wuji, Li Yusong, and Flender for their conduct at Shrek Academy, while Tang San reunited with Lin Qi and learned Xiao Wu served him.
• Lin Qi and the three Masters raised Great Li Royal Academy, opened the Myriad Soul Nest to students, and recruited children who could cultivate even with Waste Martial Souls.
• Qian Renxue confirmed the academy’s abilities to Xue Ye, while Dugu Bo warned him that Heaven Dou could not challenge Great Li and advised him to yield peacefully.
• Lin Qi enrolled Dugu Yan and Xue Ke, welcomed hundreds of recruits, and let Master Meng intensify the academy’s training plan.
• Lin Qi and the three Masters used Sword Qi to transform Huo Wu, Ye Lingling, and Shui Bing’er’s Martial Souls into swords, forming a Sword Formation.
