• Shiva and the other three Demon Kings escorted the Princess of the Tianzhu Kingdom to Penglai Immortal Island, while Shiva, the king, and the others moved the Tianzhu Kingdom to the Netherworld Sea of Blood, where its people were reborn into the Asura Path.
• Dong Wanggong welcomed the Princess of the Tianzhu Kingdom, took her into the Hongmeng Immortal Palace, and formed a bond as Dao Companions with her.
• Tang Sanzang and his disciples reached the foot of Spirit Mountain and stopped at Lingyun Crossing after Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie sensed that the river was dangerous.

• Demon Ancestor Luohu explained that he had let Tang Sanzang and his disciples go because the Journey to the West followed the Heavenly Dao Trend and its completion was needed to free Supreme Being Shanggu.
• Tang Sanzang and his four disciples landed outside Chang'an, where Li Shimin welcomed them and praised their pilgrimage.
• Li Shimin arranged a ceremony at the sacrificial plaza, and Tang Sanzang and his disciples ascended the altar to report their completed pilgrimage to the Heavenly Dao.

In Penglai, Dong Wanggong learned that Wu Zetian had feelings for him and left for Chang'an to pursue her as a Dao Companion.

Beast Emperor Shen Ni wounded Supreme Being Shanggu before departing, leaving Demon Ancestor Luohu and Shanggu to plan against Dao Ancestor Hongjun. They joined Shichen and the other Chaos Demon Gods, who were merging the Myriad Worlds to prepare their descent upon the Primordial World, and Luohu offered to help while eyeing their worlds.

• Beast Emperor Shen Ni transformed the Imperial Seat of Slaughter into the Calamity Spear of Slaughter, cut Supreme Being Shanggu's face, and vanished.
