History
Nuwa created the Chat Group on a whim several Primordial Eras before the current story. She designed it with five versions that would upgrade automatically when their requirements were met, while assigning member-facing sub-systems with differing personalities. 92 175
The group was initially far more limited than its later form. It could not cross world barriers, and its translation function failed entirely when confronted with Cthulhu's chaotic nature. Cthulhu also recalled joining during a period without a Group Owner, witnessing one appear and later vanish. 24 199
A previous Group Owner reportedly died after volunteering to assist a member in danger. Lu Changsheng later discovered that this incident was tied to the Chat Group's predecessor, a Main God Space: one individual had belonged to both systems, and the prior Group Owner entered that individual's quest world amid the Main God Space's internal disunity. 4 272
The Chat Group System finished loading for Lu Changsheng only after he had already become a Saint. He initially rejected its invitation as unnecessary, but accepted after the System persistently urged him to join; he entered under the name True Lord of Future Expectations. 1 2
Lu's later investigation traced the Chat Group through layers of false leads to Nuwa's world. Nuwa confirmed that she had created it, formed a partnership with Lu, and personally joined the group as Venerable Wa. 92 93
Following the resolution of the hostile Dark Chat Group crisis, Nuwa invited several former members of that group—including Rick, Whale Shark King, Demon Lord Chong Lou, Rize Kamishiro, Ainz Ooal Gown, and Uchiha Madara—into the Chat Group. 274
Functions
Cross-World Communication
The Chat Group allows members from different worlds to communicate directly through their thoughts. It translates languages and nonhuman speech into a form members can understand. 2 143
- New members can receive an explanation of the Chat Group and its purpose before entering. 196 343
- Its translation can be disrupted by extraordinary chaotic interference, as occurred with Cthulhu; Lu Changsheng had to weaken that interference before Cthulhu could be understood. 24
- The group does not prohibit members from revealing its existence to trusted outsiders. 162
- Time passes at different and unstable rates between connected worlds; long spans in the Primordial World may correspond to minutes in the group. 3 56
World Travel and Missions
The Chat Group provides mechanisms for members to enter other worlds and cooperate directly. 2 55
- Party Tickets and Mission Tickets permit standard cross-world travel; without them, ordinary members cannot simply enter another member's world. 55
- Newly joined members receive a free quest scroll that can call for assistance if they face danger in their home world. 2
- The upgraded Mission Board lists available group quests with limited participant slots. 143 219
- Members can use quests to coordinate responses to crises, including the Marvel zombie outbreak. 235
Points, Trade, and Rewards
The Chat Group operates an internal Points economy. 2 69
- Daily sign-ins grant Points and may provide valuable items. 2 209
- Points can be spent in the Group Mall for techniques, equipment, materials, and goods from other worlds. 2 69
- The Group Mall includes a weekly lottery system. 69
- Members can exchange items through Red Packets and direct trade. 41 168
- Later updates added a flea market, allowing member-to-member commerce. 305
- The maximum-level Chat Group eventually gained the Myriad Worlds Mall. 362
Knowledge, Cultivation, and Records
The Chat Group serves as a repository for cultivation methods and other cross-world knowledge. 16 285
- Members may obtain cultivation methods through group files and adapt them to their own worlds. 16 343
- Lu Changsheng improved the presentation of cultivation information so it could be understood by members with different bodies, cultures, and technological backgrounds. 285
- The system supports Group Live Broadcasts for members to observe events in other worlds. 6 138
- A live-broadcast recording function was discovered later. 195
- The maximum-level system added a dungeon function alongside the flea market. 305
System Architecture and Limitations
The Chat Group is the main system, while individual members are assigned sub-systems. The sub-systems continue functioning independently during a main-system update and may possess widely different personalities. 50 92
- Early upgrades could force all members offline until completion. 50
- Later upgrades can proceed silently in the background, but may temporarily interrupt individual functions. 209
- Nuwa can identify the requirements for upgrades and has personally accelerated or fueled them. 143 279
- The original system's automated development does not prevent external interference; Cthulhu's chaotic effect once blocked its translation ability. 24
- The Chat Group should not be confused with the hostile Dark Chat Group, whose members carried hidden systems capable of self-destructing them after mission failure. Lu Changsheng extracted those systems and removed that threat. 272
