At a thought, his skin was covered in energy and became black and translucent. Then, his body suddenly collapsed into a pool of black liquid.
However, that state lasted only a few seconds before his body rapidly re-formed, and the black energy on his surface dissipated.
That liquid form was the ability he had gained after embedding the Dire Shadow Rune Crystal.
At this stage, though, he was not yet proficient at controlling his own ability. He could not move freely while liquefied and still needed more training.
