After leaving Zhang Daowen's residence, Feng Qi followed him to Dawn City's Southern District.
Compared with the central Star City district, construction in the southern joint district was still in its early stages of development. Many functional buildings were still under construction along the way.
Most of the people here were construction workers wearing protective suits.
They arrived at a place that looked like a subway entrance. There were no signs, and two fully armed soldiers stood guard at the entrance.
When they saw Zhang Daowen arrive, the two soldiers respectfully lowered their heads and called out, "Old Zhang," before turning together to push open the metal doors behind them.
Before Feng Qi was a passage leading underground.
The end of the passage was pitch-black, as if some force prevented his vision from extending inward.
As they stepped into the passage, warm lights ahead lit up one after another. At the end stood a heavy metal door, and Feng Qi discovered that even his perception consciousness could not penetrate it.
Zhang Daowen walked to the wall and completed a series of identity verifications. The metal door then opened.
What appeared before Feng Qi was an enormous underground plaza. Above it was a large platform connected to the ceiling, where many staff members in work uniforms monitored the vital conditions of the Domain Creatures in real time.
Looking ahead, transparent compartments of varying sizes covered the walls in three directions, like enlarged shoeboxes stacked together. Each transparent compartment held a Domain Creature or Domain Beast.
These creatures all appeared exceptionally weak.
Feng Qi was not surprised by this.
On the previous timeline, when Zhang Daowen had taken him to harvest Talent Abilities, he had explained that maintaining Domain Creatures and Domain Beasts was also a major expense. It was equivalent to
