That Really Was Terrifying

Feng Qi wasn't sure exactly how strong Little Black was.

But he had fought Little Black several times, and every time, he had been instantly killed without any ability to resist.

Now that he had discovered Little Black rapidly approaching from the Burial Zone, he decisively chose to run.

He had faced Little Black head-on before because death came at no cost. But now that his life was worth something, he had to be more cautious.

He darted through the City Ruins, his gaze vigilantly sweeping over his surroundings.

Last time he had been in the City Ruins, he encountered a powerful Domain Creature that looked like a Blood-colored Eye and nearly died.

Although the future had changed slightly because of his influence, he couldn't be sure whether that Domain Creature was gone.

He still had to stay alert.

He headed east along streets strewn with rubble and building wreckage, constantly detouring around intersections blocked by collapsed structures. He had no idea how long he had been walking.

He had even less idea how far away Little Black was now.

So he stopped, intending to determine Little Black's exact location.

His gaze swept around before settling on a leaning skyscraper.

After putting in some effort to climb to the roof, he looked west.

The distance was too great for him to see anything but a black dot moving rapidly.

Just as he had expected, Little Black was relentlessly pursuing him and was already about to enter the City Ruins.

Little Black's body, shrouded in Black Mist, suddenly dispersed and spread out into a black cloud. Then it abruptly reformed at the spot where it had been standing, neutralizing the force of the brutal impact.

Seeing that physical damage was ineffective against Little Black, Feng Qi's eyes widened. Then he decisively turned and ran.

Now was the best time to leave. Otherwise, once Little Black killed the Unicorn Domain Creature, he would be next.

After sprinting out of the street, he had planned to immediately head for Star City Shelter.

But he discovered countless twisted, writhing Purple Vines spread across the entire street ahead like a spiderweb. They seemed alive, and he could clearly see fluid flowing inside them.

He jogged up to the third floor, kicked open a door on the left side of the corridor, and hid inside.
