Ch. 21Mangekyo

Uchiha Akira promised to teach Hyuga Neji the Hyuga Clan’s secret techniques and gained the Mangekyō Sharingan, whose powers were [Time House] and [Fated Shadow]. He went to the Hyuga Clan to find someone who could teach Neji, while Hiashi dismissed Akira’s ability to do so.

  • Hyuga Neji asked to learn Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm, and Eight Trigrams Palm Revolving Heaven, and Uchiha Akira agreed to train him.
  • After Neji left, Uchiha Akira wondered how he would teach the Hyuga techniques, then received the system’s reward of the Mangekyō Sharingan.
  • Uchiha Akira discovered that [Time House] could nullify damage temporarily and [Fated Shadow] could relocate injuries; using both powers together would let him activate Susanoo.
  • Uchiha Akira headed to the Hyuga Clan to find someone who knew the secret techniques.
  • A Hyuga clan member told Hiashi that Uchiha Akira intended to teach Neji, but Hiashi dismissed Akira and ordered them to leave him alone.

Ch. 22Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms

Uchiha Akira used his Mangekyō Sharingan to make Hyuga Liuhuo reveal and record the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, then erased his memory. He later demonstrated the technique to Hyuga Neji, who recognized it in astonishment.

  • Hyuga Hiashi ordered Hyuga Liuhuo to watch Neji and report any improvement in his strength.
  • Uchiha Akira hypnotized Liuhuo and made him demonstrate and record the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms.
  • Akira ordered Liuhuo to forget their meeting and left in the night.
  • The next morning, Akira hypnotized Liuhuo again when he spied on Neji, telling him to report that Neji had learned only simple taijutsu.
  • Akira demonstrated the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms to Neji, who recognized the secret technique and stared in disbelief.

Ch. 23Seizing Eyes

Uchiha Akira gave Hyuga Neji a secret guide to the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms while concealing its source, as the Hyuga Clan prepared for its monthly tournament. When Uchiha Izumi warned that Root had taken Uchiha Shisui, Akira rushed to the Back Mountain, where Shisui was ambushed by Danzo and several Jonin.

  • Uchiha Akira gave Hyuga Neji a meridian diagram and instructions for the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, telling him to claim he learned the material himself.
  • Hyuga Hiashi asked Hyuga Liuhuo about Neji and assigned him to oversee Branch Family matters for the tournament in three days.
  • Uchiha Izumi told Uchiha Akira that Root had ambushed Uchiha Shisui at the Back Mountain, and Akira hurried there after directing Izumi to summon Uchiha Itachi.
  • Danzo confronted Uchiha Shisui over his plan to control Uchiha Fugaku and declared that the Uchiha Clan should be destroyed.

Ch. 24Kotoamatsukami

Uchiha Shisui escaped Danzo’s poisoned ambush but was left despairing and ready to die. Uchiha Akira recovered Shisui’s eye, used Kotoamatsukami to restore his will to live, and returned both eyes to him.

  • Root Jonin attacked the poisoned Shisui, who used his Green Giant to escape after Danzo ordered them to kill him.
  • A Wood Release vine stole Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan from Danzo, who blamed Hiruzen and ordered an attack on the ground.
  • Akira found the wounded Shisui at the Mountain Waterfall and tried to take him back to the village, but Shisui refused and said he wanted to die.
  • Shisui offered Akira his remaining eye, and Akira used Kotoamatsukami to erase his despair before returning both eyes to him.
  • Shisui regained his will to live and thanked Akira.

Ch. 25Awakening

Uchiha Akira healed Shisui, who agreed to fake his death to prevent war between the Uchiha and Konoha. Akira prepared to confront Danzo, while Itachi learned of Danzo’s attack and feared it would spark a conflict.

  • Shisui proposed faking his death because his survival could provoke a clash between the Uchiha and Konoha, and Akira praised his willingness to consider other solutions.
  • Akira removed the Root poison from Shisui and received Indra Chakra as a mission reward, strengthening his developing powers.
  • Akira told Shisui to leave and vowed to make Danzo pay without harming innocent people or letting the village descend into war.
  • Shisui departed, moved by Akira’s resolve to protect Konoha and the Uchiha Clan.
  • Itachi arrived asking about Shisui, awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan when Akira said Shisui was dead, then heard the truth about Danzo’s actions and condemned him.

Ch. 26Luck

Uchiha Akira explained Danzo’s motives to Uchiha Itachi, then helped Hyuga Neji overcome a flaw in his Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. Akira left for the Uchiha Clan after learning that trouble was brewing there.

  • Uchiha Akira told Uchiha Itachi that Danzo valued Konoha’s power over the lives of its people, and Itachi struggled to restrain his anger for Shisui’s sake.
  • Akira returned home and found Neji training with Asuma Sarutobi for the coming Hyuga Clan tournament.
  • Neji showed Akira that his Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms faltered near the end, so Akira brought in a masked Hyuga expert to explain how to perform the final twelve strikes.
  • Neji followed the expert’s advice and completed the technique, while Asuma realized the masked man had likely been controlled by Akira.
  • Akira left Asuma to train with a Shadow Clone and went to the Uchiha Clan because something was about to happen there.
  • Uchiha Yashiro arrived and urged Akira to return to the clan, saying it was in chaos.

Ch. 27Destroy the Village!

  • Uchiha Inabi and Uchiha Tekka accused Itachi of killing Shisui, but Itachi offered no explanation.
  • Uchiha Akira defended Itachi and suggested that Konoha’s leaders had ambushed Shisui without naming them outright.

  • Uchiha Akira asked Itachi to reveal his Mangekyō Sharingan and secretly recruit subordinates who shared their ideals.
  • Uchiha Akira and Itachi entered the clan assembly hall, where Uchiha Fugaku observed how much Itachi trusted Akira.

Ch. 28The Lady Has Worked Hard

  • Uchiha Xianren accused the Konoha High Command of killing Shisui and urged the Uchiha to retaliate, while Uchiha Yashiro argued for restraint until the killer was confirmed.
  • Uchiha Akira told Uchiha Itachi that Yashiro’s argument with Xianren had eased the clan’s anger and made an immediate war against Konoha unlikely.
  • Uchiha Fugaku silenced the argument and ordered Yashiro, Inabi, and Tekka to find Shisui and identify his killer.
  • Uchiha Fugaku asked Akira to stay behind, then questioned him at home about whether he knew the cause of Shisui’s death.

Ch. 29Peace

Uchiha Fugaku revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan and argued that Konoha’s treatment of the Uchiha made rebellion inevitable, while Uchiha Akira insisted that no one could threaten the village’s peace. Akira’s own Mangekyō appeared as he left Fugaku with the belief that the Uchiha could remain safe by staying loyal to Konoha.

  • Uchiha Fugaku showed Akira his Mangekyō Sharingan and explained that its Dojutsu let him see the near future, including Shisui’s death and Fugaku beside him.

  • As Akira walked away, Fugaku reflected on the Uchiha Clan’s isolation and his fears that the clan was destined for annihilation.
  • Akira revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan and reiterated that neither the Uchiha nor anyone else in Konoha could threaten the village’s peace.
  • Fugaku understood Akira’s words to mean the Uchiha could remain within that peace as long as they did not betray Konoha.

Ch. 30Great Hokage

  • Uchiha Fugaku understood that Akira’s unwavering loyalty to Konoha’s peace resembled his own past convictions.
  • An Anbu ninja told Hiruzen Sarutobi that Shisui was dead, and Hiruzen asked who had been close to Akira.
