On Istvaan V.
In the pitch-black room, Horus lay flat on the bed. He wasn't sure if it was because he had grown stronger, but the whispers in his ear seemed less severe now.
Seeing the state of Fulgrim and Angron, he once again felt that Chaos was untrustworthy. Even his brothers were the same; it seemed he could only rely on the power in his own hands.
However, at this thought, a sharp glint flashed across Horus's face!
If he ever met Erebus the Word Bearer again, he would surely peel the man's skin off.
If he were to rank those he hated, Erebus would definitely come before Francis. Because after several days of thought, he even felt that Francis possessed excellent military strategy.
Everything Francis did was in the Imperium's best interest.
If he hadn't betrayed them, perhaps Francis could have become a powerful warrior fighting by his side.
Bang bang bang~
A knocking sound came from not far away. The interval between each knock was very regular, and the volume was neither too loud nor too soft.
"Enter!"
The door was pushed open, and a beam of white light swept in from outside. The previously clean air immediately carried a faint scent of engine oil.
"On the Vengeful Spirit, we've completed the basic checks. The machine spirit is very stable and we can set sail."
A Tech-Priest, clad in a blood-red robe, spoke quietly.
"Mm."
Seeing that Horus had no other instructions, the Tech-Priest discreetly withdrew.
Rumble!
Suddenly.
The ground shook violently, and even the room where Horus was located bounced up and down. Even so, Horus did not leave his bed.
Not long after.
Abaddon arrived at the doorway, panting heavily, and shouted, "It's bad, Warmaster! Something terrible has happened!"
Horus looked calmly towards the door. He could vaguely see that Abaddon's Power Armour was adorned with more ferocious spikes than before.
He frowned; he could also sense the corrupt Chaos scent emanating from him.
"Abaddon, calm down. As the First Company Captain of the Sons of Horus, you should be more composed. There is no enemy we cannot face."
Abaddon's eyes widened upon hearing this. He forcibly adjusted his breathing and, after a moment, said, "Understood, Warmaster. Just now, a Ork Warship fell from space."
"And it landed right on our Vengeful Spirit. Since we were conducting maintenance, the protective barrier was not active."
"So, our warship has been smashed and broken. And over a billion Orks poured out, even Ork Titans emerged."
"There was even a giant Ork inside that could speak human language!"
Upon hearing this, Horus shot up from his bed, his expression extremely grim. "Why are you speaking so slowly! Hurry up and get me out there to fight!"
With a whoosh, Horus sprang up and rushed out.
He left behind a somewhat wronged Abaddon, who muttered, "But you told me to be composed?"
Horus ran out and saw that an oversized grenade-shaped Ork Warship with two mechanical arms attached was impaled on the Vengeful Spirit.
That was a Gloriana-class Battleship his father had given him!
Horus's heart bled, and he roared through gritted teeth, "You beasts!!!"
He turned his head and saw the Ork warriors roaring deafeningly, charging at the Sons of Horus like wild beasts.
"Roar roar roar~"
Their attacks were savage and fierce, each swing of their weapons accompanied by a buzzing sound.
The Sons of Horus also roared, "For the Warmaster!"
The roar of the Bolters echoed through the heavens, and deadly rounds rained down on the Ork warriors like pellets.
The Ork warriors, however, seemed unfazed by the pain. They continued to charge forward valiantly.
The Sons of Horus's chainswords also began to swing on the battlefield, each cleave accompanied by scenes of flesh and blood flying.
Horus leaped forward, smashing down on an Ork with his hammer!
Near the Conqueror.
"I am Francis, here to pull nails for Angron. Hurry up and get out of the way!" A ten-meter-tall Ork stood before the World Eaters.
"You'll never trick us! You cunning Ork!"
"Charge for the Primarch!!!"
"Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!"
With that, a group of World Eaters clad in Mark II Power Armour, wielding their relic chainaxes, charged forward.
A ten-meter-tall Ork suddenly ran over, claiming to be treating their Primarch. Who the hell would believe that!
Only a fool would believe that the Ork boss in front of them was Francis!
"Blood for the Blood God? Skulls for the Skull Throne?!" Francis muttered, genuinely amused to the point of anger. "Fine, fine, fine! You like acting like dogs for dogs, do you!"
"Today, I'm going to pull all the nails from your heads!"
Just as Francis was about to grab the World Eaters and pull out their nails one by one, an Ork suddenly appeared beside him. Its waist and back were laden with loot snatched from Shrimp, with bulging big tooth bags.
"Boss, weren't you going to pull out nails? I've got something good that'll work wonders!" The Grot Gunner, Gul'dan, fidgeted and looked at Francis's teeth.
"Did a Gretchin lick your backside? Spit it out if you have something to say!" Francis kicked him and casually swatted a World Eater away.
"Ouch~ Boss, take it easy! Give me a big tooth, and I'll give it to you." Gul'dan trotted over happily, grinning foolishly at Francis.
Francis forcefully broke off a big tooth and shoved it into Gul'dan's hand.
Gul'dan cupped the tooth, which was as big as its head, in both hands and rubbed it against its face. "Boss's tooth, hahaha! It stinks! Hahaha!"
After speaking, it even licked it. It smelled so good!
Gul'dan carefully took a ram's head hammer from its backpack and handed it to Francis, saying, "Boss, this is a good treasure I accidentally found while scavenging in space. I'm only asking for one big tooth from you, it's really..."
Before he could finish, a piercing scream echoed throughout Istvaan V.
Even the World Eaters who were about to charge took two steps back, clutching their chainaxes and swallowing hard.
Having finished their warm-up, Francis picked up the ram's head hammer and tossed it in his hand. "Come on, World Eaters. Today is psychological treatment day."
"Waaaaaagh~~"
Accompanied by Francis's high-pitched roar, countless Ork Boys instantly appeared around them, their eyes glowing green as they shouted at the World Eaters, "Waaaaaagh~~"
"My little ones! Loot them all, don't leave even a single hair on their heads!"
"They're afraid of having the nails on their heads pulled out, charge!"
Hearing this, the Ork Boys' eyes darted around, and then they grinned!
In the blink of an eye, they produced a pile of jumpy beds (anti-gravity launchers) and gliders.
Duang~ Duang~ Duang~
"Yaho~ Waaaaaagh~~"
Countless Orks were launched, instantly soaring over the heads of the World Eaters, grabbing their nails and shaking them wildly.
The unfortunate World Eaters desperately gripped their nails and roared, "Blood for the Blood... Big Brother, don't pull, don't pull, I can't stand it~"
"Big Brother, don't pull, don't pull, I can't stand it~"
Francis watched the Orks flying around in the sky and the World Eaters being yanked back and forth by them.
He stroked his chin and walked towards Angron's location, even unable to resist muttering, "How can they be so brutal! I can't even watch!"
Ork Boys flying all over the sky would occasionally fall into an enemy's gun barrel by accident, and with a boom, both the vehicle and the person were gone.
Along the way, he encountered a few World Eaters, but Francis performed a miraculous healing, pulling all the nails from their heads.
After they were removed, they excitedly scurried on the ground and remained motionless.
Finally.
Outside Angron's room, Kharn, clad in red and yellow striped Mark II Power Armour, sat silently in a corner, a chainsword in his hand.
"It seems you are very strong! To be able to break through our defenses and reach this place."
"Unfortunately, your journey ends here, Ork. I am Kharn, Captain of the 8th Assault Company of the World Eaters. I will end your journey and offer your skull to the Blood God!"
