Background

The Human Race was created by Nuwa. Innate Humans remained near the ancestral land, while Acquired Humans spread across the Mortal Realm of the Primordial Continent. Though numerous, they were physically and politically inferior to the Witch and Demon Clans. 6

During the Witch-Demon Calamity, the Demon Race slaughtered humans to forge the Witch-Slaying Sword. Human tribes were treated as sources of essence and blood, and the survivors were often the elderly, women, and children considered too weak to be worth consuming. 1 2

Nuwa's protective decree initially prevented other races from attacking humanity for ten thousand years. After it expired, humans gradually became blood food for the Demon Race. 21
