The Black and White Qilin hurried to the gates of the Daoist Palace. Bowing their heads to East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West, who had just left the palace together, they spoke with the Dao Sound.
"Mo Yu and Bai Fu pay our respects to Yin-Yang Dao Venerable and Saint Mother Tai Zhen. We were brought into being through the Great Dao's enlightenment, and Heaven ordained us to serve as mounts for the young masters and mistresses in your wombs. We ask that you take us in."
They were a male and a female Qilin. Though their cultivation wasn't especially high, both had reached the peak of the Golden Immortal realm. Their voices were clear and bright, filled with auspicious joy.
When the sun and moon entered their embrace, East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West had already divined that they were carrying twins, a boy and a girl.
Since the Primordial World's birth, the two had pursued the Great Dao. Now they had made some progress along their Dao Paths and were about to have a son and a daughter. Even though both had achieved Hunyuan, East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West were overjoyed.
Knowing what they carried, they weren't too surprised by the auspicious Qilin's words. They exchanged a glance, and each saw the joy in the other's eyes.
The Great Dao had bestowed such favor upon their children. How could the two of them not be happy?
East King Duke nodded. "Very well. You two may stay on the Three Immortal Islands and keep Tai Zhen company. Once my children are born, you can follow them."
The Qilin had no objections. They nodded repeatedly, both thrilled.
