Shi Ji studied Li Jing. He didn't seem to be pretending, and she had no reason to fear that a mere Qi Refiner would escape. "Very well. I'll let you go back. If you can't find out what happened, I'll hold you accountable."
Heavy-hearted, Li Jing returned to Chentang Pass and went to his residence. His wife, Lady Yin, had witnessed him being abducted earlier. The household was in a panic, but when she saw him return, she let out a sigh of relief. "My lord, you're finally back. I don't know who would just abduct someone like that."
Li Jing shook his head without explaining and asked, "Is Nezha at home?"
