Kabuto Yakushi entered Sage Mode, while Jugo activated his Cursed Seal. The two of them examined Orochimaru from head to toe, but likewise found nothing out of the ordinary.
Kabuto Yakushi was puzzled. "Lord Orochimaru, could he have been too exhausted at the end to hurt you with that final attack?"
He had seen a cloud of black smoke pass through Orochimaru's body with his own eyes.
Orochimaru slowly shook his head. "It's too soon to say. But if he really had a way to attack me, he wouldn't have waited until he was about to die to use it."
Kabuto Yakushi nodded. "Right!"
Orochimaru glanced around. "That commotion was hard to miss. The Ninja Village Allied Forces should be here any moment. Let's go!"
With that, Orochimaru vanished in a flash.
Jugo, Guren, Tayuya, and the others hurried after him.
Bringing up the rear, Kabuto Yakushi glanced at a nearby tree, then leaped after Orochimaru.
On that very tree, Ido folded her arms. "Tch. I can't believe they actually took him down! Upper Moon One was so pathetic he didn't even give me a chance to get revenge! If I run into B and C later, they'll never let me hear the end of it!"
