"Magic Ring!?"
Shinji quickly shook his head. What was above Shion's head could only be considered a magic array; it wasn't yet at the level of a Magic Ring.
He hurried into the training ground, curiosity written all over his face. "How did you manage that in such a short time?"
Shinji was also studying magic, but he had only just grasped a few basic concepts, while Shion could already cast magic arrays with ease. It was certainly unexpected.
Shion immediately dismissed the magic array, and the brilliant formation above her head vanished.
"It's simple!"
Shion then explained how she had learned magic and how she controlled magic power.
Shinji listened carefully, deep in thought.
Judging by their progress, Shion had left him far behind. Setting magic itself aside, her control over magic power alone was several times better than his.
Seeing Shinji frown, Shion asked smugly, "You don't believe me?"
Before Shinji could answer, Shion snapped her fingers. In an instant, a ball of fire appeared in an empty patch of ground nearby.
"This isn't ninjutsu!"
Shinji immediately reached that conclusion.
Shion snapped her fingers several more times in succession. A fierce gale swept through the training ground, followed by flashes of lightning and peals of thunder.
Then she waved her hand, and everything subsided. "Not bad, right? It's not very powerful, but I don't need Hand Seals! And if I recited the entire spell, it should become quite a bit stronger. But just standing there and chanting sounds so silly!"
Shinji walked over to where the magic had appeared and raised a hand to feel the air.
He then confirmed that the flames, gale, and lightning had all been produced by magic, not Chakra. His Six Tomoe Rinnegan's Seal Absorption hadn't activated.
Shinji turned and gave his assessment.
