He quickly climbed out of it and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "Damn it!"
The wound in his abdomen was still affecting him, making attacks he could normally dodge with ease difficult to handle.
Shinji gave Isshiki no time to catch his breath and charged at him again.
He knew Toneri only truly reached Six Paths level when he activated Tenseigan Chakra Mode. He had to buy Toneri time to pull out the Black Rods interfering with his Chakra and activate Tenseigan Chakra Mode again.
Otherwise, though it looked like they were fighting Isshiki two against one, they couldn't actually combine their strength effectively!
Ōtsutsuki Isshiki knew this too. He met Shinji's fist with his own and traded a punch with him, forcing Shinji back at the cost of taking a hit. Then he lunged at Toneri, hoping to finish him off before he could pull out all the Black Rods, and then turn back to fight Shinji one-on-one.
