Just moments ago, he had used Yachihoko to extract Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's Chakra, then channeled it into Isshiki's Byakugan through a Chakra burst, successfully evolving the eye into a "Black Eye."
This confirmed his earlier theory: the Byakugan naturally possessed by the Otsutsuki Clan could potentially evolve into any Dojutsu Kekkei Genkai!

After activating Susanoo Lamp and wielding a pair of "Black Eyes," Shinji focused on sensing their effects.
The first thing he noticed was the increase in Dojutsu. Just as he'd expected, having a pair of "Black Eyes" nearly doubled the boost. The Dojutsu enhancement he gained from wielding both was now roughly fifteen times greater than what he got from wielding a pair of Rinnegan.
