The Knowledge Tower was one of the Six Rings World's six great mage towers, on par with the Wisdom Tower where Shinji was currently staying.
That meant the Knowledge Tower also had an Archmage stationed there.
For that very reason, the Knowledge Tower wouldn't ask the other five mage towers for help if it came under an ordinary attack. If an Archmage was asking other Archmages for help, then the attackers had to be quite formidable!
"Could it be..." said Alice, the Radiant.
With outsiders present, Alice didn't say the Breeding Overlord's name aloud, but her meaning was already obvious. The Lantern Bearers at the meeting all caught on.
Arcane froze for a moment, his expression complicated. He didn't know whether to be glad or worried.
If, as Alice suspected, the unknown creatures attacking the Knowledge Tower were Flesh Puppets spawned from the Breeding Overlord's power, then Alice's plan had succeeded. They had really drawn the Breeding Overlord over from T33.
But that also meant that the Six Rings World was now being targeted by two Overlords at once!

Arcane steadied himself. "Did my teacher say anything else?"
