Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo fought as they retreated, drawing the Fourth Raikage, controlled by the Overlord of Fear, out of the underground cavern.
Though the Fourth Raikage was under control, he hadn't lost his intelligence. He had guessed what Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo were planning, but he had already destroyed the Barrier Ninjutsu formula at Key Node No. 8. As far as he was concerned, he had already captured the node.
At this point, hunting down the ordinary shinobi hiding in the node's underground base was far less important than pursuing Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo, the two stationed generals.
