After the surgery, Nameless lay quietly on the operating table. Even though she was now completely blind, there wasn't the slightest hint of panic on her face.
Shinji had seen it all.
Nameless was, without a doubt, a true Uchiha. If she didn't trust someone, nothing could change her mind. But once she trusted someone, she trusted them unconditionally—enough to risk everything for them!
After putting away the surgical instruments, Shinji asked softly, "How do you feel?"
Nameless took a moment to assess herself. "I can't really explain it. Anyway, having someone else's eyes is a very strange feeling!"
"That's normal. After all, the Sharingan is the eye that reflects the heart. Even now, I still don't fully understand its complexity."
Shinji sighed.
Nameless was curious. "Shinji, how am I supposed to restore these Mangekyō Sharingan? Without Yachihoko, I have no way to replenish their Dojutsu!"
Shinji explained, "Replenishing the Dojutsu with an external source won't bring them back from the dead! Only by combining Yin and Yang and nourishing them with the Power of All Things can they restore their Dojutsu on their own. That's the only way to get the result we want!"
Nameless suddenly understood. "I see. So when you had me use Yachihoko to reinfuse your Naobi and Magatsu into your Rinnegan, you wanted Naobi and Magatsu to transmit Chakra to me?"
"Clever!"
Shinji praised her.
Nameless looked a little pleased with herself.
Shinji continued, "These Mangekyō are only in the early stages of damage, and their cellular tissue hasn't suffered severe necrosis, so they'll be easier to restore. I estimate it'll take seven to ten days."
"Mm!"
Nameless listened attentively.
Shinji helped Nameless down from the operating table. "Your body needs time to rest and recover, too, so you can sleep through this period of
