"Shouldn't we be suspicious?" Danzo said, turning to the Third. "Hiruzen, you fought the First and Second's Impure World Bodies. Do you think Shinji Uchiha could have escaped them without awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan?"
The Third remained silent.
But the empty space where his arm had been gave a silent answer.
Even the Third, as Hokage, had struggled to withstand the First and Second's Impure World Bodies, surviving only at the cost of an arm. So how could Shinji Uchiha have easily escaped with Darui of Kumogakure and Ringo Ameyuri of Kirigakure in tow?
A suspicion flashed through everyone's minds.
Shinji Uchiha might really have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan—he had simply kept it secret.
Danzo continued, "That kid isn't Shisui Uchiha. He's more like Itachi Uchiha. We can't ignore a threat like this!"
Utatane Koharu hesitated. "Danzo, you're being far too alarmist!"
Mitokado Homura chimed in, "Even if Shinji Uchiha has concealed his Mangekyō Sharingan, that doesn't mean he's betrayed the village."
Danzo smiled. "Take a good look at how many Mangekyō Uchiha there are in the Akatsuki Organization! You're far too naïve to trust the Uchiha at a time like this!"
Aside from Hiruko, who had gained the Mangekyō Sharingan through the Bloodline Fusion Ritual, there were as many as five confirmed Uchiha in the Akatsuki Organization.
They were "A," "B," "E," the masked man, and Itachi Uchiha.
The masked man had used an unknown Space-Time Ninjutsu to ambush the Two-Tails Jinchuriki. His strength could not be underestimated. The other four had all been recorded using either Susanoo or Amaterasu, so they could almost certainly be identified as Mangekyō Uchiha.
The Konoha High Command knew very well how precious the Mangekyō Sharingan was.
The Akatsuki Organization had so many Mangekyō Uchiha that the fact alone was enough to raise
